Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house with a combined gross domestic earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household cash flow doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS check here Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
